3 Strategies to Better Influence Your Team [Video]
I don’t know about you, but not everyone wants to do what I ask them to do all of the time. It’s as if they have their own agendas or even their own wants and needs.😊
Can you relate? Have you ever asked a team member, coworker or volunteer to do something for you and the individual didn’t jump on the request right away or complete it in a manner you’d like?
It’s not enough to tell people, “You must do what I say.”
We need to lean on the power of influence.
Recently Trinity University asked me to present on the topic of influence to their national alumni board. The board is tasked to engage with alumni and invite them to attend events, donate money and volunteer their time. These may seem like simple tasks, but busy schedules and competing requests can make it difficult to influence alumni.
During my presentation, I shared 8 strategies to harness the power of influence. I’ve narrowed down the eight strategies to the top 3, and I’m sharing them with you in this video.
